Some thoughts about Batman/Superman #3

Can Superman fight againts the infection?

Clark has infected himself with the Joker's venom to trick the Batman who Laughs but this might not be enough since the plans of the latter are further ahead.

Another issue, another solid entry.

Joshua Williamson follows this story by further developing the characters and bringing strong action scenes. The initial segment where Clark is infected continue the usual character dynamic between Superman and Batman that Williamson handles so well and in fact my only complaint here is that it continues to portray the Batman who Laughs as annoyingly OP as possible but I can't blame the author for something Scott Snyder did.

The rest of the issue is an intense race to see who else has been infected and it creates really interesting moments like the battle against Commissioner Gordon who appropriately enough, uses the armour he had during his time as Batman which is something that I can always appreciate about Williamson, his respect for continuity. Plus, there's the appearance of an usually ignored hero and he's appropriately portrayed as such.

David Marquez remains in art duties and his work is still really good with expressive characters and strong storytelling.

Good read, can't wait for the next one.
