How can Catwoman survive?
Creel is back to destroy Selina's life and the only way to escape is if she accepts Lex Luthor's offer.
Joelle Jones returns and it works in certain aspects although in others not so much.
The story opens with Creel's attack and it immediately makes you wonder what's happening, only for the story to jump several weeks after to Selina's new case which is a pretty interesting segment and it involves a perfectly in character Selina handled with the great personality that Jones brings to the table and creates a solid set-up for things that are about to come.
... And then the story jumps once again to show what actually happened before that. This becomes a problem because the pacing can be a bit too erratic and makes you wonder what's actually happening and why are the reasons behind this particular method of storytelling that makes things more confusing than anything else. Not to mention that I really dislike how Year of the Villain has influenced this book.
Jones' art is wonderful though, creating beautiful characters and strong storytelling, most of the time at least.
Not bad but I hope the next one is more consistent.
