The whole team has been influenced by Darkseid since the beginning and this is much clearer in Victor who is starting to show his connection to the New God.
The story turned an admitedly interesting twist.
Dan Abnett delivers a new chapter where he continues to explore the ramifications of the team working alongside Darkseid. The team dynamics continue to be solid because of the concern about what is actually happening to the characters and how Darkseid has been affecting all of them, this concern comes from Jessica who has quickly became the voice of reason who is trying to keep all of these people together.
The biggest change here is how this is reflected on Victor since Darkseid's manipulation has revealed a hidden part of Vic which is connected to the Mother Box he has and might have been affecting him since the very beginning which is a pretty intriguing revelation, something I believe was explored in the last Cyborg series but not in this way.
Will Conrad handles the art and is really solid thanks to his clear expressions and appropriate storytelling.
