Some thoughts about Dial H for Hero #5

The Heroverse is in danger.

Mister Thunderbolt's plans have come into fruition and now both Miguel and Robby will have to find a way to stop him before is too late.

This series continues and is still wildly entertaining.

Sam Humphries delivers a new installment where he explores the idea of the Heroverse even further. There are tons of references here and this time not really about superhero homages but about the actual history of the DCU, there are glances of important events from the Golden Age and Silver Age including the origins of many famous heroes which of course leads to revelation about what truly happened to Robby Reed and how he ended-up in this role which is an interesting take admitedly.

The story progresses appropriately with the threat of Mister Thunderbolt increasing and how owners of the H-Dial learning about the Heroverse and how that could affect their future which puts the protagonist in a nice place. The cliffhanger is an exciting one too and makes me wonder what's going to happen next.

Joe Quinones remains in art duties and his work is still fantastic thanks to his semi-cartoony style that is able to replicate different eras of comics perfectly.

Great read, can't wait for the next one.
