Who has been controlling Batman's dreams?
Bruce has finally awaken and is ready to take over the whole Arkham Asylum to reach Bane and finally end this nightmare.
This story is finally going to conclude and credit where credit is due, this issue works well for the most part.
Tom King finally delivers Bruce's awakening and he's ready to defeat all of his rogue's gallery. The characterization is accurate enough, at least from Bruce's perspective due to how he mentions that no nightmare if worse than his actual life because being Batman IS the nightmare which is appropriate because of the history of the character. Sure, this follows the usual depressing route King has taken but at least this is in character.
I'm not so much of a fan of how the villains were handled though since they act mostly as mere Bane pawns although there are a few interesting portrayals like in the case of the Ventriloquist. Also, the issue is fairly short which is not much of a surprise in this run.
Mikel Janin and Jorge Fornes handle the art and is pretty solid with expressive storytelling and a consistent dark tone.
Decent read, not sure what to expect from the conclusion.
