Some thoughts about The Terrifics #16

How can The Terrifics face God?

Plastic Man believes they're fighting someone they just can't even comprehend but Mister Terrifics believes there is someone else manipulating these events and he might be right.

Gene Luen Yang's run continues and while decent, I'm not quite feeling this issue.

The chapter opens just where the last one ended with the team apparently being forced to fight God which is always a good premise in comics. The problem with this is that Yang can get a little heavyhanded with the whole team with Plastic Man constantly referencing phrases from the Bible and mentioning how everything seems connected to this. Mind you, this gives us a new insight on Eel's character which is good but I believe there were better ways to implement this. Not to mention that I think Yang kinda betrays his own premise towards the end, I hope he doesn't.

The issue has a fair amount of content though with solid character moments concerning the relationship of the team and this is appropriate since this has always been the main attraction of the book.

Stephen Segovia handles the art and is really good looking with attractive characters and clear storytelling.

Decent enough, hope the next one is better though.
