Some thoughts about Teen Titans #27

Everything is about to change for the Teen Titans.

The young team are learning more and more from each other and just in time when one of their worst enemies returns.

Man, this worked on several levels.

Adam Glass delivers a new installment where he delivers some of the best examples of character work and team dynamics. The revelations are finally coming, Djinn explains to Damian her actual past and this of course clashes with the relationship that she has been developing with Crush who at the same time grows closer to Emiko meanwhile Wally  and Roundhouse share a personal moment where they also demonstrate their friendship. This kind of characterization touches the multiple dynamics this team has and shows how different it can be depending on the respective members of the cast.

Best of all is this is clearly building-up to something bigger. Crush is about to get rid of her frustrations by finally confronting her father, one can't tell if Djinn is being completely honest about her past and of course, the inevitable conflict with Deathstroke is about to come which is leading to an even bigger conflict between the team.

Bernard Chang's art continues to be vibrant and delivers all the personal moments perfectly thanks to his clear expressions.

This issue is so good that made me forget there are no action scenes and really, it worked for the better that way. Great work all-around.
