What is the price of being a hero?
Gotham Girl is out of control and is up to Bruce and Barry to stop her but even if they manage to do so, there are still bigger problems ahead.
This story comes to a conclusion and it follows pretty much the same route that Joshua Williamson has been taking all this time.
The battle against Gotham Girl ends rather quickly but it's done in a satisfactory way. The manner how both Barry and Bruce try to save her is connected to the events that they have been facing recently, particularly Barry concerning Wally's death. the classic characterization that you expect from Williamson is present here which is centered around the protagonists and even Iris who gets a pretty solid moment.
There's even a little conflict between the main characters because everything that happened has put their beliefs in question. I would usually say that Barry is overreacting a bit but considering the events in Heroes in Crisis, his reaction is understandable and creates an intense moment between Batman and him. This also sets-up the upcoming Villain event that DC is preparing which hopefully will be good.
Rafa Sandoval handles the art and is energetic, vibrant and fluid as ever which is ideal for this book.
Nice read, hope the next one offers a brighter look though.
