The Ratzis are preparing to strike back.
The Freedom Fighters are determined to take over America but their enemies are not willing to give them a chance and to do so, they're going to call their own heroes.
This worked much better than the last one thankfully.
Robert Venditti offers a new installment where decides to bring much more content from every side. The backstory of the new Freedom Fighters is getting revealed and makes you realize how messed-up life can be in a world where the Nazis won. Themes concerning slavery, privilege and war are constantly brought into the plot and they all work satisfactorily during their implementation.
Even the antagonists receive an interesting focus. The little details like Hitler's son trying to impress his father and crying after his death show a bigger complexity to their characters. Not to mention that Venditti even brings a famous character, not from the original Freedom Fighters history but from yet another famous DC story featuring Nazis, and it all makes sense which excites me for what's about to come.
Eddy Barrows' art is really solid thanks to his detailed work and clear storytelling.
Pretty good read, hope the next one follows this trend.
