What is the fate of the Justice League Dark?
The team is currently trying to handle their usual business but there's something else going on, something that is affecting the world of magic as a whole and something that is threatening everyone.
Mixed thoughts as usual.
James Tynion IV continues with his ongoing story and is developing a particular plot-point that he has been teasing for a while now. The importance of Doctor Fate in this title has been building-up pretty much since the beginning and I enjoy how Tynion is including Khalid Nassour, the most recent owner of the Helmet of Fate, into the story since he was pretty much forgotten for a while. The worldbuilding is still solid and involves quite a few interesting figures from the supernatural corner of the DCU while the major threat of the arc keeps increasing its presence towards the end.
The problem is the usual sadly, Tynion still has the need to overexplain everything making the dialogue overly-expository to the point that is really obnoxious. Mind you, is not as bad as previous entries here but is still pretty noticeable and can break the pacing of the read.
Alvaro Martinez' artwork is still really good thanks to his vibrant style that depicts every character and magical event perfectly.
I'm willing to say that this is decent but boy, is still flawed. Let's see how things go on.
