Some thoughts about Young Justice #12

It's time to gather all the members of Young Justice.

Superboy is lost in the Multiverse and is up to his friends to help him but before that, they will need some help on their own.

This is a pretty flawed chapter.

Brian Bendis offers a new installment where he reunites all the characters from the Wonder Comics line he created. Yes, we see Naomi (whose inclusion starts making sense now), the Wonder Twins and even Miguel and Summer from Dial H for Hero. It's pretty fun to see all these young heroes here and working together to save Conner. The story progresses at a nice pace too and offers surprisingly more content than usual.

There are problems though. For one, Bendis tries to handle way too much stuff in this issue and for that the execution feel clunky, especially in terms of his dialogue which is already heavyhanded as it is but now he has to deliver a lot of exposition to explain what's happening and is just too obtuse.

John Timms' art is pretty good though with the kind of energy this book requires and delivers good storytelling despite of the clumsy script.

Nor bad, not good. Hope the next one is better.
