Some thoughts about The Terrifics #11

Is this the end of The Terrifics?

Java has been revealed as Doctor Dread and now they will have to stop him once for all but not all of the team is decided to do so.

This was a rather short read but it still get the job done.

Jeff Lemire plays with the ramifications of the cliffhanger from the last issue about the true nature of Java. The development of this particular plot-point is handled adequately but Java's motivations don't escape from the predictable and I feel that Mark Russell did a better job at exploring his personality during the last Annual.

The plot is mostly centered around how the team doesn't want to be a team anymore because the power that forced them to be together is gone. This is actually an interesting take and plays against expectations which is even addressed in story, it can be a bit in your face but is still appropriate. That being said, this makes the chapter feeling a bit empty in term of content due that is mostly a set-up for what's about to happen.

Viktor Bogdanovic is in charge of art duties and his work is amazing thanks to his beautiful characters and style while his storytelling is precise.

Decent enough, hope the next one offers more though.
