Some thoughts about Batgirl #4

Batgirl will have to deal with a whole new organization.

Kai has been involved in a dangerous business involving drugs and is up to Barbara to try to find who is the culprit of it despite of how hard it might be.

Still not getting used to the thought balloons.

Yeah, the way how that narration style is not exactly one of my favorites since it feels a bit too, for the lack of a better word, "comic booky" even though we're clearly talking about a comic book. I thought that after a while I would get accustomed to it but I can't help but still find it dated.

Other than that, Hope Larson still provides a solid script where she progresses more about the mystery behind Kai and the people involved with him. I like the fact that the writer is creating new villains for Babs while still maintaining a nice voice for her while fans of the last run will be happy to see Frankie back at least for a while.

Rafael Albuquerque remains in art duties and his work is still quite distinctive and beautiful with a pretty clean and expressive style with strong storytelling skills.

Is still a solid read but I sadly don't find it quite impressive yet, worth checking out though.
