Synmar seems to be unbeatable and the only way Clark can confront him is to try to reason with him but that might be his final mistake.

Brian Bendis offers a new installment where the fights last longer than they should. The battle against the new antagonist, Synmar, is incredibly by the numbers but for some reason Bendis feels like he needs to extend it by including his old villains like Xa-Du and make dialogue as repetitive as possible to convey a simple idea (Synmar=Superman). It's just padding for the sake of it.
Even the little character moments like the segment between Lois and Lana seem rather insignificant in the grand scheme of things and overwritten as hell. They add very little to little plot there is.
Ivan Reis' artwork is great obviously thanks to his fantastic detail to a cosmic scale.
Aside from that, waste of paper. Just end already.
