Some thoughts about Transformers: Combiner Hunters #1

The war of combiners might be over but a new one is still going to appear.

Windblade is decided to retrieve the Enigma of Combination whatever the cost. Unfortunately, Arcee wants the same and she's ready to defeat everyone in her way to do so.

This is pretty much yet another epilogue from Combiner Wars and also serves as a way to introduce ew characters to the series and for the most part, it does a solid job.

Mairghread Scott arrives with a story where puts three of the most prominent fembots against the recently created combiner Victorion. The premise itself is nothing to write about but the characterization certainly works due that the writer manages to develope the personalities from all the members from the cast including the new team that has just been presented.

The best about this is that the writer even manages to give a good and logical explanation about Arcee's recent actions and it certainly goes back to her origins. The dialogue doesn't work as well sadly since some of the characters, particularly the Torchbearers, don't speak in a natural way, this might be on purpose but it still felt a bit awkward.

Sara Pitre-Durocher is in charge of the art and she demonstrates one of the best works in this franchise lately thanks to a beautiful style that is pretty similar to Livio Ramondelli's but works much clearer for storytelling.

Good read overall, definitely enjoyable.
