Some thoughts about Batgirl Annual #3

Batgirl will need to team-up with different allies if she wants to succeed.

A terrorist group called Gladius is creating chaos in several places and many of the heroes from Gotham City and other places will need to cooperate if they want to stop them.

One of the most enjoyable DC Annuals right here people.

Cameron Stewart and Brenden Fletcher exploit the format of Annual stories to tell an one-and-done tale that manage to reunite several characters from the Batfamily and the best part of this is that each section is dedicated to a team-up between Batgirl and a hero in particular, and each segment manages to get its own unique style.

The first section focusing on Grayson makes a lot of sense considering the current status quo of the character and the writers even play with some of the recurring jokes of his book. The one focusing on Spoiler it's a more comedic one which is also pretty fitting considering the kind of character that Stephanie Brown is. The Batwoman chapter is appropriately dark. Finally, the Gotham Academy segment is simply fun.

All of these different styles are adequately depicted thanks to the artists. Bengal is in charge of the Grayson side of the story and the pencils are a nice fit for the tone, David Lafuente brings expressive characters and humour to the fight between Batgirl and Spoiler, Ming Doyle delivers a quite gothic feel for Batwoman and Mingjue Helen Chen offers a beautiful and adorable style for the Gotham Academy characters.

Great Annual, everyone here should check it out.
