Some thoughts about Infinite Frontier #6

Who is the real enemy?

Darkseid's plans to control the whole Multiverse are coming to fruition but the heroes from different universes are not willing to let that happen but even if they stop him, there might something even worse coming next.

This series comes to a conclusion and while the event itself doesn't offer a great conclusion, there are interesting plot-points being created.

Joshua Williamson brings all the different ideas he has been developing over the course of this book and tries to give them an appropriate resolution and yes, the resolution might be appropriate enough but is simply not the king of spectacular final battle that you would expect from the final issue of an event which is a bit disappointing. In fact, I would say that most plot-points receive a fast and kinda rushed conclusion, everything happens a bit too quick including Darkseid's battle, Roy's fate, Machinehead's whole betrayal, etc. I wish things like this would have received a more satisfying ending.

However, it wouldn't be a Williamson work without things to appreciate and yes, this is sadly devoted to the set-up to upcoming events. I usually hate this sort of stuff since it seems like most of the event was a complete waste of time but, what makes this different from stuff that someone like Scott Snyder does, is that Williamson's set-ups are probably even more interesting than what happened before which includes a main character from the first Crisis and a concept that seems pretty logical and intriguing for him.

Xermanico's artwork is amazing with a pretty vibrant art that follows every scene perfectly and he's able to even change his style to fit the tone of the story.

Not bad, not that great but let's see if upcoming books are better.
