Some thoughts about Justice League #44

Can the Justice League trust each other?

Aquaman has asked for the team's help to stop monsters of myth but what they don't know is that this could have a bigger influence in all of them.

Okay, this story got interesting towards the end.

Robert Venditti opens a new arc in a kinda predictable way at first. The plot is mostly focused on the Justice League fighting againt mythological beasts which admitedly offers a few exciting action moments, nothing really spectacular but decently executed fight scenes.

The best part comes in the last few pages though since that's where Venditti focuses on character work and showcases hidden feelings from each member of the League and they all seem on-point considering their history and who is involved here.

Xermanico handles the art and I always appreciate their detailed and appealing style, the storytelling is also pretty accurate.

Good read, hope the next one is more devoted to character work though.
