Some thoughts about Batman & the Outsiders #12

Are the Outsiders prepared for Ra's Al Ghul?

Ra's is currently killing everyone on his path, including his own allies. Now the team will have to get ready for the worst.

To answer the initial question: No, they're not.

Because Bryan Hill keeps delaying that encounter to infinity.

Remember how I mentioned that Robert Venditti used all these delays to actually fix the problems with Hawkman?

Well, Bryan Hill pretty much did none of that.

I mean, there are some aspects of that and just like in Hawkman, it seems like the plot suddenly changed direction after all this time but not for the better in this case. For example, Ra's Al Ghul actually kills all of his allies in a quick and rather unsatisfying way that doesn't make me appreciate them as characters or feel anything at all, this was just done for pure shock value and is so abrupt that is hard to not see it as a last minute decision.

Worst of all is that this doesn't really makes the plot progress since the characters are still not fighting Ra's properly and we're still not getting any resolution whatsoever, is just more of the same.

Dexter Soy's artwork is still amazing with a great sense of detail and storytelling but he's wasted here.

Passable once again, just cancel this already. Nothing can fix it.
