What are the new plans?
Deathstroke and his team are threatening Gotham City and Batman will have to find out who their actual leader is before is too late.
Well, this is going kinda like expected.
James Tynion IV offers a new installment where he plays with his usual tropes. There are a few things to enjoy here like the characterization for Deathstroke and his exchange with Batman along with some interesting action scenes that show how competent Bruce can be.
However, the usual Tynion's flaws are starting to become apparent. For example, from out of nowhere he changes the characterization that Mark Russell created for The Riddler in his Year of the Villain tie-in with a simple "I couldn't leave crime behind" and this bothes me because Russell's work was really good there and this yet another example of Tynion's bad characterization. Plus, some of the designs of the Gotham villains can be seen as overly-edgy which play with Tynion's direction and the narration can be a bit overwritten.
Guillem March handles the art and is really good and imposing at times with impressive character designs but again, it implements that edgy aspect a bit too much.
Not as good as the first chapter but predictable for Tynion sadly.
