Some thoughts about Action Comics #1018

What is happening around Metropolis?

The Legion of Doom has arrived just when Superman made his biggest revelation to the world and the people are not ready for all of that.

Yeah, things are not getting any better.

Brian Bendis delivers a new chapter where he tries to make some progress but is still pretty barebones for the most part. For one, we actually have the Secret Origin of Red Cloud but it ends-up being rather uninteresting since is a typical comic book accident and Clark reveals his secret identity to yet another character... which doesn't mean much since he's going to do it in a couple of days anyway (Yes, this is suited before the events of the last Superman issue).

On the other hand, the story continues to be derailed by events because of the inclusion of the Legion of Doom. Not to mention that the little segments of plot progression feel out of place and break the pacing since we don't know what the focus is anymore.

John Romita Jr. remains in art duties and his work is still decent with expressive characters and appropriate storytelling.

Pass. I think I'm dropping this.
