Cyborg and the others have been manipulated by Darkseid all this time but once that their own people come after them, they will have to form an alliance with their enemy.
A little better than the last one at least.
Dan Abnett offers a new installment of his recent run and solves a few issues I had with his debut. For one, the heavyhanded third person narration is gone and instead we focus more on a "show, don't tell" angle where the relationship between the cast is further developed and provides a few interesting moments of characterization the builds from what happened during Joshua Williamson's run.
The plot also progresses nicely and it seems like we're finally exploring the premise of a proper alliance between the Justice League and Darkseid and hopefully this will bring compelling moments concerning their dynamic.
Will Conrad's artwork is pretty solid with expressive characters and a vibrant tone.
Decent read. Hope things continue this way.
