Some thoughts about Justice Society of America #10

Can Mordru be trusted?

One of the oldest enemies of the JSA has returned and to defeat him they will need the help of yet another enemy. However, there are many heroes who don't believe in his redemption.

Yeah, I feel like this series keeps dragging.

Geoff Johns offers a new installment where not a lot happens and considering we usually have to wait months for its release, that makes it much worse. The plot consists of a young Mordru trying to become a hero and join the JSA which is an interesting concept and to be fair, I believe is executed appropriately by making him contribute with all of his abilities against classic JSA villains and once again, this love for continuity is what you can expect from Johns at the very least.

On the other hand, the issue was mostly dedicated to the fight scene and it also ended rather quickly in that regard. There are a few interesting character moments here and there but they get over them very fast to the point that it feels really decompressed and not satisfying at all.

Mikel Janin and Marco Santucci handle the art and Janin does a really great work during his segments with beautiful characters and style but Santucci can't quite follow the style and the difference can be quite jarring.

Is a shame that this series will most likely end-up being a disappointed as a whole.
