Some thoughts about Justice Society of America #2

What's happening to the timeline?

Huntress has just arrived to the past to meet the original JSA but Per Degaton's plans are coming into fruition, destroying the history of the team and transporting Helena to new eras.

Well, the story still seems mostly like a set-up.

Geoff Johns offers a new installment where he explores more of the new continuity he's creating. There is the constant references to the new characters Johns has been introducing for his own Golden Age mixed with the classic members of the JSA. If there's something that I can always give credit Johns for is that he knows these characters, is pretty obvious his love for heroes like Jay Garrick, Alan Scott and the others and the little moments where they show their personalities are pretty on-point and enjoyable.

The plot, well, the plot is still about the timeline being disrupted and that means constant jump in time which doesn't make the ongoing story progress much but at least offers some insight about what's currently happening and is cool to see a few cool moments in DC history like Zero Hour in which the JSA played an important role.

Mikel Janin, Jerry Ordway and Scott Kolins handle the art and while Janin is no doubt the most impressive, the others do a solid work in their more personal segments.

Decent overall, I just hope the next one offers more progression.
