Some thoughts about Joker: Killer Smile #2

What is real?

Benjamin believes he can help Joker with his treatment but the Clown Prince of Crime might end-up having too much of an influence on him.

This story continues and my God, is getting clearer and more tragic.

Jeff Lemire continues to surprise by giving us a bigger insight about what's truly happening. Benjamin's life is getting much more complicated because of the visions he has been having concerning his family, visions that are pretty terrifying and scare him, visions that are strangely connected to the Joker.

And of course this is all connected to the Joker but it all comes with a twist towards the end that is pretty surprising and paints reality in a different way, showing how it might be too late for Benjamin and he never had any chance from the beginning. Lemire's natural and precise dialogue helps to convey the themes perfectly.

Andrea Sorrentino remains on pencils and his work is still strong with perfect storytelling and an unique style.

Great read, one of my favorites in a week full of strong titles.
