What are Dr. Alchemy's plans?
Desmond has become more powerful than ever and Barry believes there's something behind all of this but the truth might be completely unexpected for him.
Getting a little better but not without flaws.
Kevin Shinick continues his story about the return of Dr. Alchemy by revealing more details about it. The investigation about this case is done in pretty solid manner creating new details that lead Barry to the truth while also creating interesting twists concerning the villain and his classic personality changes (Last issue I complained about he really didn't sound like Dr. Alchemy and there's actually an explanation behind now). The characterization for the most part is done pretty solidly.
The problem is that this feels a bit overwritten. It's cool that the writer wants to explain every part of the case with a lot of detail but a lot of it seems superfluous, especially considering the "mystery" is not really deep. Sure, this offers more content than usual but again, is content that feels unnecessary.
Sami Basri and Will Conrad handle the art and I must say that is great to see Basri again, his work always had a pretty appealing style, especially when draws women and he does a solid job at depicting all the characters. Conrad is also fine of course but his style seems out of place here.
Decent read. Hope the conclusion is satisfying.
