Some thoughts about Hawkman #27

The Hawks are back to the Golden Age.

Carter and Shiera have returned to one of their happiest times alongside the Justice Society of America but as usual, an old enemy is still coming after them.

This storyarc is starting pretty solidly.

Robert Venditti brings a new opening chapter where he explores the time of the Golden Age. The way how the author depicts most of the Justice Society is pretty accurate and allows for many interesting moments of these characters. If there's a complaint here is that there's not much interaction between the Hawks and the rest of the group but what there is is good.

There are a few intriguing ideas like the fact that the world sees both Carter and Shiera as their Golden Age selves while they look at each other as their latest incarnation. Plus, a classic villain has returned and I was expecting him to do so at this point.

Fernando Pasarin handles the art and is pretty good looking with expressive characters and precise storytelling.

Good read, hope things stay this way.
