The Justice League will have to face new forces.
The Invisible Spectrum has controlled John and is apparently expanding its influence over the whole planet.
I honestly wish I liked this more than I do.
The story that Scott Snyder is creating seems pretty epic in terms of scope thanks to the creative threats that he's including into the plot. Sure, some of the aspects like different Forces and Spectrums are a bit derivative but they still make sense as a whole. There are also connections to previous Justice League books including the appearance of classic villains like the White Martians along with other threats that escalate strongly towards the end.
THE PROBLEM is that the third person narration keeps taking me out of the story. It tells more info than it should, making the issue really overwritten and is really baffling considering that the characters themselves could have said all of what the narrator says in even less words. It was really unnecessary and breaks the pace of an otherwise solid read.
Jorge Jimenez' artwork is really good though, he brings the kind of energy the book requires and even creates really imaginative images like when the Joker tells the readers to stay quiet when he's about to attack Hawkgirl, this is the kind of stuff that should have been more present here.
Other than that, still not feeling this and I hope it improves eventually.
