Hawkman's past lives are ought to get him.
Carter is trying to investigate the mysterious threat that appeared in his vision and that will take him to another place and time.
Well, this is getting more interesting.
Robert Venditti follows the set-up he created in the first chapter by expanding more on the concept. As we learned in the last issue, all of Carter's lives are connected by a strange force that is going to arrive soon and this is explored by revealing more of Carter's previous lives and showing interesting aspects of them that were not shown before and are related to the story logically.
This is also explored in a deeper manner once that Carter is transported to the past and forced to fight with one of his past incarnations which makes us learn more about this particular era and how the plot is going to follow from that which is a pretty intriguing route and makes me wonder if we're going to see more moments like that with other versions of Hawkman.
Bryan Hitch remains in art duties and his work still gets the job done with a better sense of polish than his latest gigs and is especially appealing during the widescreen action.
Pretty decent overall, hope it continues to improve.
