Some thoughts about Fire & Ice #3

Can Fire and Ice's lives get any more complicated?

Jimmy Olsen has just arrived to write about Bea's attempt to rehabilitate former villains but things are going to be much harder than expected once that one of them turn for the worst.

This was all over the place sadly.

Joanne Starer delivers a new installment where she explores more of the new status quo for the heroines and there are a few things that I still enjoy but a lot that I feel doesn't work. The positives are that I still dig some of the sense of humor and energy in the book while the dynamic between Bea and Tora seems like is developing adequately to the point that it makes you remember that they are best friends and they complement each other very well.

Unfortunately, this is overshadowed by how erratic the read is as a whole. For one, Jimmy Olsen's appearance seems like doesn't contribute much to the plot, in fact, there are way too many characters that seem unnecessary (and that's without mentioning the annoying OG character that was forced here) and just seem like a waste of space. Worst of all is that despite that apparently a lot is happening on page, the plot itself has barely any progression.

No complaints about Natacha Bustos' artwork which continues to be charming while depicting all of the expressions perfectly.

Didn't like this that much, hope things improve from now on.
