Some thoughts about Superman #5

Who's causing Superman's enemies to get berserk?

Clark and Jimmy Olsen are trying to figure out what's happening to the Silver Banshee meanwhile Lex's biggest fears about his own enemies are becoming a reality.

Yep, this is just getting better and better.

Joshua Williamson offers a new installment with both important and charming moments. The conflict between Superman and the Silver Banshee is handled rather well while connecting to the ongoing plot of Lex's enemies making Superman's own villains more dangerous. Plus, while the relationship between Jimmy and Slobhan comes pretty much out of nowhere, Williamson still knows how to make you care about them and even includes a funny scene between them and the classic Lois and Clark couple.

It's not all fun times though since things get quickly dark once that the people that Lex has been warning Clark about finally make their big move and this offers a pretty interesting moment of development for Lex that we rarely see and I hope that Williamson keeps exploring the dynamic between Lex and Clark in this manner.

Jamal Campbell handles the art and is solid with beautiful characters and a creative panel layout that just improves the script.

Great read, hope the next one arrives soon.
