The fate of the Multiverse is on the hands of monsters.
Frankenstein is down and Melmoth is about to win. Now the only way to save everything is to make a desperate solution.
This story comes to a conclusion and I'm pretty sure that this is the best thing that Steve Orlando has written in a while.
Yes, I've been pretty hard on Orlando for the last few years but that's mostly because I really loved his first Midnighter series and I felt like he never reached such highs since then. Gotham City Monsters though, managed to combine all of Orlando's strengths (Use of obscure concepts and creativity) in a way that is pretty satisfying.
The ending of this story is not that complex since Frankenstein and Killer Croc's plans were pretty obvious since the beginning but still, the resolution for Melmoth felt really appropriate considering all the elements involved and even demonstrate why Gotham City was so important for the core of this story, combining the idea of the Multiverse and how they're always beings threatening it. Plus, all the cast receive a fitting closure for their problems.
Amancay Nahuelpan's artwork remains great with a lot of attention to detail and a vibrant style.
Good read, hope Orlando stays this way.
