Can Metropolis survive?
The battle between Superman and his worst enemies is destroying the entire city and not even the aid of Young Justice might be enough.
As usual, there's very little here in every aspect.
Brian Bendis continues this overly-long story by trying, and I mean trying, to deliver some surprises but failing miserably. For example, you might think the re-encounter between Clark and Conner (the latter being a character that escaped the reboot and was forgotten) would be depicted in a more important way but nope! The only thing Clark says is "Oh, you say your name is Conner Kent? Cool, help me fight the bad guys!". It's just incredibly underwhelming.
Not the only problem since it seems like Leviathan is manipulating everyone here, even Lex Luthor because he's Bendis' new pet character and thus, he needs to be portrayed as overly-competent. All of this in yet another decompressed chapter where there's almost no progress.
JRJR's artwork is decent enough with clear storytelling and detail but not as polished as his best works.
Perfectly skippable, just like most of Bendis' works right now.
