How can the Transformers survive this hidden threat?
The Ascenticons are unleashing their attack in secret and the Autobots don't know what to do know, and all of this is part of Megatron's plans.
Yeah, not feeling this sadly.
Brian Ruckley delivers a new installment where he definitely progresses more of the plot. There are more hints about where Megatron's plans are going and the whole situation is escalating from every side up to the point that not even certain Ascenticons even know if what they're doing is actually good, The whole story is pretty dense and even includes a few fan-favorite characters like Strongarm.
That being said, there's a noticeable lack of character. Most of the cast don't really have recognizable voices from one another and even the little character moments like Prowl admiring Nautica end-up being pretty cringey (and wrong if you know something about Prowl's cold history). I know I've complained about how Transformers started to sound all the loud jokey sames toward the end of James Roberts' era but this is going a bit too far to other extreme, I wish there was something in between.
Anna Malkova and Bethany McGuire-Smith share the pencils and their work is serviceable but lacking in certain polish.
Hope this ends soon already and we get a few different writers from now on.
