Can Batman face Bane?
Bane has been preparing his inevitable fight with Batman but he wasn't counting that Catwoman would help him.
At this point underwhelming conclusions is something that we should expect from Tom King's run and sadly, this one doesn't really change things.
The first thing that you might notice once the characters open their mouths is that the dialogue is HORRENDOUS. All of them speak in pretty unnatural ways because King has the obsession to create callbacks to some of his previous lines and moments that were all pretty terrible to begin with, that's why you will see awful lines like: "I'm Batman", "I'm Bane", "Bat, Cat", "I will break your damn back!", etc. Seriously, who does King think is pleasing with all of this?
But believe it or not, that's not as bad as how lacking the final battle with Bane is due that is a poorly paced fight that ends way sooner than it should, doesn't offer memorable moments and doesn't even conclude with Bruce beating him. This is completely worthless considering how long this moment has been building-up to (although the last few dull issues should have been a huge hint).
Mikel Janin's artwork rarely fails at being effective though, his beautiful characters and storytelling almost makes things worth watching, "almost".
Aside from that, better pretend this didn't exist. Also, I hope that this doesn't mean Bane is dead because I wish that another author who can properly write him was able to salvage him.
