What will happen in Batwoman's future?
Kate has made mistakes in five years and all of those mistakes will take the lives from the people she cares the most.
Finally some actual interesting stuff!
After the incredibly boring story of the island of dullness, James Tynion IV and Marguerite Bennett explore the alternate future they teased during the Rebirth issue. The set-up is intriguing enough with the writers showing a dystopian future where Kate is one of the key players and seeing the fate of some of the members of the cast is compelling in some ways and surprising in others.
The characterization works nicely since the authors focus on one of the classic relationships that Kate has and is pretty accurate and delivers some emotional moments and makes the ending quite shocking considering who one of the culprits is.
Renato Arlem handles the artwork and is quite good with a really detailed style that creates expressive characters and solid environments.
Enjoyable overall, my only problem is that this seems to be part of an upcoming crossover but let's see where it goes.
