Some thoughts about Harley Quinn #27

Harley Quinn is about to meet her match.

Red Tool has challenged Harley and now is decided to make her fall in love with him no matter what although Harley has her own ideas about this.

Well, there's no doubt about who they're parodying here.

Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti create a new chapter where they put Harley against this new character who is quite similar to another one who recently got a movie and is pretty funny in that way. Their personalities contrast perfectly with each one telling their own share of jokes and enjoying their time despite that Harley is pretty much being kidnapped.

The plot goes just as well as you would expect with Red Tool obsessing over her and fortunately the story makes fun of that concept a lot and is certainly going to continue that way in the next one.

John Timms is in charge of the artwork and his style is still pretty good by being expressive in the comedic moments while bloody in the more violent ones.

Enjoyable overall, hope the next issue is just like this.

  1. I love how the series not only creates a doppelganger of its Marvel counterpart (Deadpool) but doesn't even try to hide it.
