Some thoughts about Doctor Fate #11

Doctor Fate will have to face yet another supernatural threat.

The ghosts of the Roman Empire are being manipulated by someone for personal gain and Khalid will once again need to use all of his skills to survive.

Yeah, I think this worked nicely.

Paul Levitz continues his story by delivering a chapter where he creates some caricatures of Romans which are clearly based on the classic Asterix stories, so much that there are even mentions of Cleopatra which further cement the idea (then again, this might be Sonny Liew's whole contribution).

The story remains fun with Khalid still trying to use every ability from the Helmet of Fate to defeat his enemies while his family and friends still show in some interesting panels. Once again, the supporting cast is as important as he is.

This wouldn't be so good without Sonny Liew's artwork. The storytelling is simply perfect at depicting cartoony Romans and characters while each panel is created in a pretty compelling way.

Solid I would say, wonder where the story will go now.
