Some thoughts about Batman/Superman #31

Superman is dying and has no other choice but ask his best friend for help.

Batman believes that there must be a way to save Clark from his terminal disease. However, Clark knows better than that and he needs to find his cousin, Supergirl, before the end.

Well, so far, so good.

Peter Tomasi continues his storyarc Super League in this issue by focusing on the relationship between the protagonists and credit where credit is due, he nailed it for the most part. These are two people that are quite different but still care a lot for each other and their interactions especially emphasize that. There are even some fun scenes when Clark starts realizing how many pets Bruce owns thanks to his son.

The plot progresses satisfactorily with the new Superman showing his true personality and finally developing some plot-points like the fate of Supergirl. The action also complements this nicely.

Doug Mahnke handles the artwork and is really good looking, probably his best effort in a while with really detailed characters and strong storytelling.

Solid definitely, let's hope the story continues this way.
