Some thoughts about Aquaman #40

The final battle between Aquaman and his mother is ending.

Arthur has no possibility to against the forces of Atlanna, fortunately he has Mera and the rest of the ocean on his side. Will he be able to convince his mother to stop the attack?

Jeff Parker concludes his story and run in this title. Does he succeeds?

Once again, I fortunately would say that he does.

The writer brings a lot of the plot points that he created during this arc and even some from earlier here to create a pretty interesting dynamic between the characters and Atlanna.

The conflict between Arthur and atlanna proves to be full of action scenes and great moments including some for Mera who demonstrates how amazing she is and also some from Arthur himself who uses all of his abilities to win.

The resolution is also pretty logical and promises interesting directions for the future.

Paul Pelletier comes back to art duties and his work remains as gorgeous as ever with every layout being great in scope and detail and delivering a fitting offer for the ending.

Sastisfying conclusion and it's a shame that this creative team is leaving so soon.
