Some thoughts about Secret Origins #10

New perspectives for classic stories.

Who is the Batgirl who currently resides in Burnside? What is the history behind Firestorm? What's Poison Ivy's mission?

Some interesting revelations here overall.

The first segment is focused on Batgirl written by the authors of her current ongoing, Cameron Stewart and Brenden Fletcher. It explains the mystery behind the events from the last issue of the main series and how everything has been connected to it, there are still some mysteries going on but it present some pretty interesting and suprising points. The art is handled by Irene Koh and her work is quite fitting considering the style in Batgirl, really beautiful and expressive characters with an unique style.

The second section belongs to Firestorm written by Dan Jurgens. This is mostly a recap from the events of Firestorm's previous series without any surprises but is still being decently told and manages to make the convoluted story make sense. Sean Chen is in charge of the artwork and his work is pretty solid with expressive characters and nice details.

The third part is concentrated on Poison Ivy written by Christy Marx. Once again, this mostly a recap but this is done in a more unique way and it actually represents who the character is perfectly. The pencils are provided by Stjepan Seijic and his work is undoubtly gorgeous with beautiful characters and solid storytelling techniques.

I would say that I liked Batgirl's story the best followed by Poison Ivy and Firestorm in third. Pretty solid issue.
