Some thoughts about Secret Six #2

The Secret Six will need to work together if they want to survive.

Catman has spent a lot of time imprisoned before and he's not willing to do it again. Now joined by the group who are also following his same fate, they will take revenge on the maniac culprist of this.

Okay, I think this follows the same path as the previous issue.

The characterization is solid for the most part. Catman continues to be a bit weaker than his previous incarnation but at least he demonstrates to be more competeng at guiding the whole team and there are some interesting developments about his past.

The rest of the cast is also compelling enough. Porcelain seems to be a solid character while the Ventriloquist continues to be creepy as hell, Black Alice hasn't shown much personality but there are some glances of it. My favorite character is Big Shot, he seems to be quite likable guy.

The narration works solidly with jokes appearing in the darkest moments as well as presenting a convincing villain with enough charisma to be compelling.

My complaints go mostly to the artwork, Ken Lashley is able to deliver some solid scenes at points but at others it looks pretty rushed and uneven with awkward character models.

Overall, I would say that this is once again a solid issue. Hopefully the story will progress more later.
