Some thoughts about Batwoman #39

Batwoman's life continues to be complicated.

Alice is back in Kate's life and she's decided to reveal who Nocturna truly is. Now, the supernatural side of Gotham City continues to be in chaos due to the attack of Morgan Le Fey and is just getting worse.

Some things work and others not so much.

The positives are character work and Marc Andreyko is pretty good at showcasing the more personal moments between Kate, Alice and Nocturna. The conversations work pretty well and makes you invested in the situation.

However, the superheroic and supernatural side is not as good. Some of the characters speak in pretty awkward ways at times and the whole story is not that engaging overall.

Georges Jeanty is on art duties and his art looks good at times but at others it looks kinda uneven with wonky character models.

I would call the issue "Uneven" overall. I can't really recommend it honestly.
