Who is going after Booster and Beetle now?
Ted is trying to deal with the loss of his company while Michael's life keeps falling apart and things are going to get much worse once that they have to deal with a powerful alien.
Once again, pretty typical superheroics but pretty enjoyable at it.
Dan Jurgens offers a new installment where he further developes the slice of life aspects of this series. The fact that the protagonists have to deal with rather mundane problems like Michael losing popularity and Ted being broke give this title a certain charm and reminds me of their Justice League International days. The character work is decent and continues to offer a good dynamic between the heroes. Jurgens even brought back Trixie Collins who was Booster's secretary during his original series while mentioning how both lost contact for years, the callback is a nice touch.
This comes a bit of a cost of the plot though, this issue is not lacking in content by any means since a lot of it is devoted to the characters but story itself is rather simple with a mysterious woman attacking the city and the protagonists dealing with her in a pretty quick manner.
Cully Hamner's art has a pretty "classic" vibe that fits the tone of the book perfectly while following the script and expressions perfectly.
Decent read, hope the next chapter brings more progression though.
