Some thoughts about Superman: Endless Winter Special #1

How will Superman deal with this climate change?

The world is going through the worst winter in its history and Clark will have to find out a solution for it. Unfortunately, other people are working against him.

This didn't really need to be an Special at all. Then again, Endless Winter didn't need to be an event at all.

Ron Marz and Andy Lanning continue their crossover story this time from Clark's perspective. That's not the only focus though since we see the origins of the antagonist early on but considering how uninteresting he is, this doesn't make me more invested in his backstory, is not that is bad, is just worthless.

The Superman segment is more compelling because of how the dynamic with Clark's parents is depicted but things end rather quickly which makes you realize the complete lack of a plot there was in this issue and event as a whole.

Ande Parks and Phil Hester handle the pencils. Parks' work is really solid with a lot of detail but the highlight was the return of Hester and his great storytelling.

Good art is not enough to salvage this though. Complete waste of money.
