Some thoughts about Death Metal #6

Can the universe defeat their Gods?

The different universes are making a last stand against the deities that want to control or destroy them but one hero will rise above all of them.

I have to give this to Scott Snyder, the escalation is done really well.

This series is coming to a conclusion and the set-up is handled in a pretty entertaining way actually. The presentation is exactly what I would call "epic" with many different incarnations of heroes and villains from many universes coming together to fight the greatest evil that is going after them with the classic big moments that you can expect from a Snyder story. There are even good personal moments like how Bruce and Clark appreciate their friendship and all the other relationships being presented.

Sure, there are the cringey moments like the Batman who Laughs and Perpetua fighting for who is the biggest Mary Sue of all (and the biggest one does win of course) but aside from that, there are quite a few things to like here with the plot progressing pretty fast and leading up to a very badass scene.

Greg Capullo's artwork is amazing as usual depicting every character beautifully and following the script precisely.

Good read, then again, the problem with Snyder's stories are their conclusion so let's see if this is yet another letdown.
