Is Batman scared of being Batman?
Bruce is trying to give Claire confidence after learning the danger of her powers but she might be the one who gives him the confidence to do what he should have done a long time ago.
As usual, or at least with the best issues from this run, mixed thoughts.
For one, I do enjoy the build-up that this particular issue creates focusing on the relationship that Tom King is developes between Bruce and Claire and how both start connecting based on their similarities. Is a chapter that escalates nicely until its ultimate end that might or might not progress a classic relationship into its next level.
That being said, I can't help but think that once again, King is going against his own themes of "Batman helps people because he wants to" since now apparently he does it because he can't stop and he's scared of it. I mean, the original theme wasn't original at all but a bit consistency would be appreciated for Pete's sake.
David Finch and Clay Mann share art duties here and their work maintains a consistent style during the course of the story with strong storytelling and expressive characters.
Not bad, not great, typical stuff here.
