The Birds of Prey have just discovered their traitor.
It turns out that Oracle has been keeping secrets from the team and they might involve one of their biggest enemies.
Some things worked REALLY well, others not so much.
Julie and Shawna Benson deliver a new chapter where they focus on the ramifications from the last one with Oracle finally revealing his past. The characterization is pretty solid since most of the cast receive solid moments, particularly Oracle since now is less obnoxious than how he originally appeared and actually shows more depth.
It is appreciated that the Bensons are reestablishng old continuity by the inclusion of Calculator here since it seems like they're following the events from the story The Death of Oracle from Gail Simone's second Birds of Prey run where Calculator apparently killed her. Is cool that some of the old story is back.
HOWEVER, I really dislike how the Bensons try to handle realistic issues, mind you is not as bad as when Hope Larson does it on Batgirl but is still bad. It turns out that Oracle is bipolar which is okay but then the rest of the team immediately starts telling him things like: "Is okay sweetie, you're going to be okay, you're as normal as everyone else!" and is so patronizing that it just takes me out of the story and once again, as the worst social commentary it seems like they're talking to the reader more than anything else.
Roge Antonio's artwork is pretty good though with a clean style and solid character models.
Decent issue aside from some problems, let's see how this goes.
