Klarion's new friends could be his worst enemies.
The Witch Boy will have to fight for the love of a girl he just met but that's not his only problem since some dark forces are mixing magic with technology to create chaos.
Jesus Christ, what the hell was this?
Ok, I thought that the first issue of this series was pretty flawed execution-wise but at least I felt like it had some interesting ideas which motivated me to pick the current one.
This issue however, still has some interesting ideas but is even worse in terms of execution. The pacing is atrocious, the story jumps from time to time without good transitions, it makes the story pretty disjointed and not in a way that you can actually tolerate.
The concepts while intriguing, are presented in a pretty messy manner. You just can't help but wonder why do these people do all these things (or why do they talk like this for that matter).
Plus, the cliffhanger is weak as crap.
Trevor McCarthy is once again the best part of this series thanks to this beautiful and unique artwork but he's simply not the best fit for this since Ann Nocenti's script is already too chaotic for his style.
Awful issue. Don't bother with it.
