Some thoughts about Avengers #24

The Avengers are about to celebrate Christmas in a cosmic way.

The team is having a well-deserved party after defeating Thanos once again. However, it won't last long since a mysterious visitant from the future who is bringing not only warnings about an immediate threat but also an upcoming one.

This is the storyline that starts the All-New Marvel Now line of titles and so far it's pretty intriguing. Jonathan Hickman creates an interesting one-and-done story that somehow connects alternate timelines, planets that could destroy earth and Christmas. Plus, it combines all these different themes and concepts in a pretty satisfactory way.

I also have to mention that I really enjoyed the heart that Hickman implemented in this issue in comparison to his previous ones where I found it was lacking on this aspect.

Esad Ribic, Salvador Larroca, Mike Deodato and Butch Guise provide the art and their style complement each other's pretty well. I especially loved Esad Ribic's segments, he can create all the beauty of a paint but also make it dynamic enough to fit into comic book action.

Quite good issue and I'm actually excited about the future now.
